For us Pinoys Access control is a necessity specially on our businesses. Access Control means restricting access to certain areas. You may control who comes into a particular area (where) and when they are allowed in. an old access controls exists its the use of a key, but with keys it can be shared with anyone and can be duplicated easily also no time restrictions and logs.loosing a key means an expensive re-keying. now the new generation of access control is within our reach, using pincodes, cards and physical identification like thumb marks. unlike the traditional method loosing cards can easily be disabled by restricting access on the specific card. These standalone units are usually programmed at the keypad with an administrator code, and some offer a PDA or laptop interface with software and a central database.

Using ID Cards for businesses acts as a carry credential for access on areas which can be restricted which depends on the level of the employee allowed access.Higher security methods of access include providing a valid credential along with a PIN code assigned only to that user and biometric entry systems which have now become more reasonable in cost.

Of course, as the degree of security goes up, so does the cost of the system. The good news is that once an access control system is installed and running, there is very little maintenance and it mostly eliminates the key control operations
